Pinot Noir

We’ve selected our favorite few barrels from our four acres of Ribbon Ridge vineyard for the wine we call D122 – named after the road that runs through the great Grand Cru vineyards in Burgundy. This site was planted in 2001 on the sedimentary soils of an ancient marine bed, with a mix of Pommard and Dijon clones.

Ribbon Ridge Vineyard /Ribbon Ridge AVA:

Blended with the best barrels from Ribbon Ridge Vineyard, 2015 Ribbon Ridge Pinot Noir is unforgettable. The marine sedimentary soils contribute to the wine’s rich, soft, balanced mouthfeel, while the mix of Pommard and Dijon clones and soft-touch winemaking captures the heart of Ribbon Ridge.

Tasting Notes

_

Medium ruby red in color. The nose is floral with hints of dark cherry cola, candied sour cherries, and dried herbs. The salinity on the palate complements fruits of plums and cherries and finishes seductively with long, pronounced tannins.
